WheyUp a new kind of energy drink, a protein energy drink. Honestly I think this is pretty clever. You read about and hear about tons of people drinking energy drinks before going to the gym to work out. It helps pump them up, it pushes them to work out longer, harder, and to lift more. What is another common thing people hitting the gym try to load up on before a work out? Protein, so that is the simple idea that lead to someone coming up with WheyUp, lets make an energy drink that is also a protein drink (22g Whey Protein). I was worried about the taste before trying the drink, I was pretty pleasantly surprised Whey up is a tasty berry flavored drink, you can definitely taste the protein, which takes a little getting used to. Basically the protein adds a creamy almost milkshake flavor, I ended up thinking the drink tasted and reminded me a lot of a berry milkshake, which is a pretty tasty thing. It has a bit of an aftertaste that I think is related to the whey protein in the drink, the after taste was a little bit of a cardboard flavor, but it was pretty mild. So this drink doesn't get me running around crazy wild like some energy drinks, but it definitely keep me up, it didn't make me feel jittery. I drank one and then worked out and I did push myself a bit more during that work out. So if your already doing protein shakes and drinking energy drinks you might find this is the perfect combination for you. If I was working out more often and really trying to grow muscle I would be interested in drinking this before hitting the gyms, but I am mostly just working out a bit to stay healthy and I haven't been pumping iron trying to grow my muscles, I more run trying to just burn some calories and get my heart rate up, trying to drop 5 more pounds. This drink is definitely different, it is something new to the market which I like. It takes a risk, it isn't a copy cat it taste different and is going for a more select market than the other drinks, and I think in that market this drink might find a happy home. http://www.bandddesigns.com/energy/arch/003343.php
